3 keys to a Giants win over the New England Patriots

FORCE MORE TURNOVERS

Tommy DeVito is a good story, but the Giants defense was responsible for 24 of the Giants’ 31 points in Washington. They forced turnovers to create short fields and iced the game with Isaiah Simmons’ pick-six. The Patriots are vulnerable at quarterback whether they start Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe or Will Grier. Wink Martindale’s defense must extend their Thanksgiving feast.

AVOID NEGATIVE PLAYS ON ‘O’

Bill Belichick’s defense will give DeVito way more problems than Jack Del Rio’s Commanders did, and Washington had nine sacks. The young QB avoided turning the ball over in last week’s win. So increased pocket awareness and continued ball security are imperative Sunday.

REMAIN CONFIDENT

The Giants have only won two of their last nine games, both against Washington, and they scored first in both of them. Points aren’t going to come easily against Belichick, and it’s likely Brian Daboll’s team will fall behind at some point in the first half. They can’t lose confidence. They have to maintain their fight.
